Sheila joined New City following a fascinating career in the Civil Service, which included roles as diverse as fielding parliamentary questions on behalf of the secretary of state. Sheila has a very thorough understanding of policies and procedures and shoulders the responsibility for ensuring that New City’s strict system standards are upheld throughout her area. The operational processes and quality control systems which New City specify for every client, whatever the size of their business, form the core components of New City’s reputation for excellence throughout the country.
Working in partnership with Darryl Baines, Sheila brings her previous experience to the fore in this demanding role, and the two of them make a formidable partnership as they strive to provide the very highest service for clients throughout the North West area – specifically Wigan and Warrington.

Darryl has over 20 years’ business experience at a senior level, and brings his sound commercial acumen to the New City network in the Wigan and Warrington area. With a passion for providing the very highest levels of service and with an excellent understanding of business’ needs, Darryl is able to provide a ‘hands on’ local approach to the support of his clients and the management of his cleaning teams.
With a number of well-established contracts in his area, Darryl is keen to broaden the customer base throughout his territory by ensuring the service and quality – with which New City has become synonymous – will be at the very heart of everything he does.
From his previous business experience Darryl has also learned the value of the people in a business, and subscribes fully to the New City ethos of ‘look after your staff and they will look after your clients’, a policy which has been in place for over 10 years now, and which continues to serve the staff and clients well to this day.
